I'm not that up on Brit kit - would they have worn BD slides on KD at Crete?

After all, they had full compliment of wool BD uniforms too, so an officer would probably just slip on a set of common BD slips onto his KD shirt/jacket when the weather was warm.

To add to the confusion the captain slides i have are in denim!

No they wouldn't have worn those.
I have two sets of KD slides...
1 set has nothing on it as I took the pips off for something else.
The other set have major crowns, I can bring these if needed. I know they're a bit high on the rank side of things...
Right... now on to find some KD corporal chevrons for myself!

Regarding Corporal chevrons, you don't have to worry if you don't want to - acting, unpaid is the usual AGS way.

I've found some JG backed ones, though there's so little JG on them it'll not show...
Does anyone have an un-blanco'd brit officers belt order which I can borrow to complete my impression please?
I have managed to source some 2nd Lt slip-ons providing they arrive on time. If you could bring your JG ones just in case please Yith that would be great.
I will be on light duties for the game having suffered a fractured shoulder last week so will only be good for shouting orders and brewing tea!

Ok, I have found all the parts to make up an unblancoed officer's webbing set... all the parts except one part.
The revolver holster.
I did find a nicely pea green blancoed revolver holster though. I suspect that may have once been my unblancoed one.

The blanco (actually I suspect it's paint) on this holster is just not shifting.
So anyway, I am in the market for an inexpensive unblancoed holster as it seems a shame not to have the set complete! Though perhaps I should be selling rather than buying... hmmm...
It's odd I do have memories of having a nice unblancoed holster... nicer than this pea green one... which I do remember was a crappy repro. I just can't find it. Did I lend it out sometime. Hmmm...
