I can confirm that shorts are NOT suitable airsofting clobber.

The very short shorts are more likely captured new zealand or south african ones. The SA ones are very short.

Pics i found last night of GJ have them in kielhose/feldrgrau trousers, short sleeves and side caps, the bergmutze doesnt seem to have been worn in the few pics i can find.

It would feel like a wasted opportunity not to have the 'short shorts, tunic and bergmutze' combo.

Nice little detail on the last pic.
The GJ standing to the right with his back towards the camera has an FJ Gasmask Bag instead on the metal canister.

yeah given that the other 6000 members of the division with him were pukka germans i think he might not be alone on that one.

I just wish i was still that thin and had that much hair still :)

I'll give you he's got that 'weight on one leg, hands on hips' thing but i doubt he's had a double discectomy and chunk of his spine removed... makes standing with a 'military bearing' tricky there days )

I might grow that hairstyle back in time for crete though, its been pretty short and blonde for about a year or two now, hairs pretty edwardian these days. Probably time for a change to a more up to date (30s) hair cut now! :)

Heh, you should've seen my original kit requirements! :giggle:

FJ please to wear wool and not tropical - let's look like a unit. I'm aware GJ would have worn wool, but we are trying to be inclusive.
