Kameraden,
Where are all the Gebirgsjaeger?
We are an elite unit fought in Norway, Crete and Russia.
If there is someone to hold the Allies back, it is the battle cry “Hurra die Gams”
It is easy to join the ranks.
- German basic infantry outfit (shoulder boards Jaeger green)... two sets of shoulder boards available, if someone needs one
- low boots
- an Edelweiss patch on the arm.
You can wear a normal helmet.
Of course puttees and the characteristic GJ cap with edelweiss would be great addition.
There is a great guide for the full outfit on the forum created by Tim in which honour we are holding this event.

Sadly, this coincides with our regular walk on day and the fellas that would normally cover are on holidays. (Very selfish I know)
I would love to attend this as JG or US infantry, but it is looking very doubtful at the moment.
If I can't make it, I will be there in spirit and wear my JG gear anyway and will make a donation to the charity.
Scratch that. I'm in, though as US. Sorry GJ.
Oh, damn. I have to shoot you again. great that you can make it,!
Kameraden,
where are you? There are two more GJ spots left.
If you are worried about gear, I am happy to help out.
Or are you afraid of being part of the elite formation due to your fitness level? We will be fighting in mountainous terrain, so exactly what we are good at.

Kameraden,
I am planning on having two groups: one assault team and one support team.
I need two subsquad leaders. Any volunteers?
Could you also let me know what weapon you will bring?
...and we need an assistant gunner and potentially a mortar team as I am planning on bring my mortar with 20 rounds
Volunteers?

I'll take a gruppe out.
In which case I'll bring my MP40 and G43 as a backup, and I'd better sew those Obergefreiter stripes back on.

Sehr gut Kamerad!
I'll volunteer for whatever is needed. I'll probably bring my G43 or Kar98 on the day.
Regards,
Ralph
Thanks again for volunteering.
Well, we have mortar team and 2nd gunner available. Have you used an MG42 or mortar before?
I have hands on experience with an MG42 but when it comes to mortars then I've only ever watched people use them. I'd be happy to be the MG No. 2
Regards,
Ralph
Welcome to the MG team
Happy to volunteer for whatever's needed (as long as I don't have to carry anything heavy ) I'll be bringing my K98, but will also have the MP28 and MP40 if needed.

I'll be bringing my K98 or an MP40/44 if i can get one in time, more than happy to lug kit about! i can also bring my medical bits with me if you require a sani.
My tunic is currently badged up with an Obergefreiter Chevron, would this be an issue?
Nick
Chevron no problem. It might get you to squad leader when all higher ranks are dead
GJs, could you please bring Zelt and e-tool!
Regarding uniform, please:
- no camo
- Field grey tunic with edelweiss or GJ windbraker or both
- GJ cap (preferred) or helmet
- low boots
Thanks.
Real e tools or is the rubber one OK? (ie are we going to be digging holes or bashing Amis on the head with them?)

Unfortunately it is more for digging holes.
Do you want me as landser or sani ?

Would be good to have a sani in the squad although I do not think we have a special rule for medics/sanis.
