This was discussed at the weekend and Medics weren't included in the Geneva convention until 1946, at the end of the day an Americans an American and a Germans a German. If I saw a medic running for a man in game, I'd pop him same as any other guy. That's why in game you protect your medics from fire and make sure they don't get hit.

I'm pretty sure thats not true mate.

"In 1864, sixteen European states (referring to themselves as "High Contracting Parties"), adopted the First Geneva Convention to save lives, to alleviate the suffering of wounded and sick military personnel, and to protect trained medical personal as civilians, in the act of rendering aid."

Shooting at medics in WWII was considered a war crime... I wrote last month but ones AI article on WWII medics so read up on it quite a bit...

haha, ye, wouldn't the tan camo be wrong for the terrain, ah well who needs camo when you have armour plating and an MG42 on the turret.

No mate.

Tan is correct for german vehicles after 1943.

1943 German regs had all heavy equipment painted dunkelgelb (dark yellow) with the cam pattern put on with green and brown condensed paint by the crew.

(exceptions to this being factory painted 'ambush schemes' still in a dark yellow and very late war red primer and cream examples when they ran out of paint)

Dave and the lads are bang on accurate here.

In fact they were often just plain tan as they didnt have time to pain them or the paint washed off if it was mixed with water rather than petrol (petrol being in short supply)

If you think it doesnt work in temperate terrian you'd be amazed.

Now that's a static StuG, in action it would have local foliage and cam over it as well.

(btw the British Army use a very similar scheme for the OPFOR at BATUS in Canada and it works veyr well, i saw them do an exercise on Imber Clump near warminster in the UK and the tan and green works better than the black and green we adopted for NWE)

Is there any clue as to whether Josh Wellings & Martyn John are playing as Brits or as Airborne so I can allocate them to a squad on the preliminary list?

Slotted them in to squads. As soon as the private discussion areas go up I'll post the squads :good:
