It would be No 47(RM) Commando. They landed on the Western edge of the British/Canadian landings and so are closer to the American beaches. Though I will probably keep my Commando badge from No2 or wear the cap comforter, though my Battle dress just says commando, so it should pass - not sure is thee RMs had a different shaped badge or something though? :?

On the other hand perhaps 49 commando is so secretive and sneeky that no one even remembers they existed? :o

RM Commandos had the badge with the globe in the middle.

Kick off will be 11am sharp on Saturday and end ex will be Sunday between 1 and 3 not sure yet as I will have to see what time people would prefer to head off home :)

So what is the latest recommended time to get there on Saturday? i.e. is the briefing before 11?

Didn't the RM Commandos also have the tombstone shaped shoulder patches?

Have emailed Taffy to check, I couldn't find where it was originally written that it was 11am. Would be nice if it is, no early morning drive woooo. Anyway I'm sure Taffy will reply soon, if he PM's me to confirm then I'll put it up.

So....... to my original question, does that mean the briefing is before 11am? If so, what time?
