Darn it, it looks like rain capes, zelts and the smell of wet wool all round on Saturday, happy days.

Yes, it looks like it will be a bit damp on Saturday. Oh well.

@bart How do you find the "Snow Wolf kar98k"? I am looking at it in the web and thinking of buying. Any good?
AR
not had a chance to test it yet!
Saturday will be the first time I try it. Although my additional mags haven’t arrived yet so may not be much use

Are there any LMGs in the British Squads? Was wondering if worth bringing my MG42 down, being captured and turned on the former user of course!!!

Hi, I don't know if we have any Brens but if you can it sounds like a great idea 😀
Weather looking better by the hour rain in morning Cloud in afternoon. Thats much better than a few days ago when it was rain for 12 hours. Well we have fought with mud on our boots before so we will again
Great day, thanks Josh and everybody who came along!
Great day! Weather pleasantly surprised us - stopped raining 30 minutes into the start. Perfect first game back after a longer break, it was good to see everyone. Some spells of little action but curiously enough I think I got the most kills today out of all my ww2 airsoft events!
@dumas9999 - I fired approx. 15 shots out of the S&T kar98k before the game - it was decent enough for the price mark. I paid around £110 from a site in PL. After 15 rounds, the bolt got stuck and would not budge :-/ thinking the rifle was already busted, Lutz kindly lent me his MP40 (as mine packed up on top of that!) and used that for the day
When I got back home I had another look at the rifle & googled the issue. Turns out the bolt always gets stuck after the last BB clears the chamber & the mag is empty. You need to pull the bolt back even further, release the mag and the bolt returns to normal operation. Could really put that in the manual!

It was great to see everyone and have a fun day out in the woods. Enjoyed being an anti tank gun "Ace" even if the Mark Vs were a bit underwhelming in terms of noise! I didn't get any photos unfortunately as I'd cleverly put my phone in my breadbag. The weather gods were kind to us, even though it hammered down in the night.
Congratulations to the Allies for their two very well planned attacks which captured and destroyed both AT guns. The diversion at the Fort was very obvious, but it still worked. LOL

Well done for everyone who turned out.
Great to see old faces and really good to see new ones as well. As said the weather gods were kind and we were dry the whole day. I think everyone was feeling it in their bones first time out this year, I know I was.
Good attacks by the Brits we cheered louder than the Mk5`s in the Ace Anti tank team, killing a few Allied tanks until we were stopped at the end.
See you at the next one and spread the word.
Great to see everyone at this event after far too long! Great battles with the German gun crews well fought!
I too am feeling it today, not as young as I once was!
Look forward to the next one!
