Scenario meeting
Agree game name: Why not just Operation Wysoka? (In German it's Wissek)
Agree opening booking date: Maybe do that now and work backwards. We should aim to get it launched by Friday 25th say.
Costing, expenses, agree game fee: £40 per player I reckon.
Consider the 'Josh' option: It's worth thinking about. Perhaps offer him and +1 a free space too. We can afford to pad out numbers on this one as we're paying a flat fee.
Post up new game section with press release: Happy to do that as I'll be dealing with booking.
Second site visit: November sometime?
Scenario meeting: Happy to host that as I'm central.
Agree game name: Operation Ostwall (NOT Oswald!)? Guns on the Vistula?
Agree opening booking date: By the end of the month?
Costing, expenses, agree game fee: Agreed. £40 per player.
Consider the 'Josh' option: Worth waiting to see if players buy into Russian kit. The kit guides will help enormously on this.
Second site visit: November sounds good, as it gives F&O time to do some more cleaning up.
Scenario meeting: Happy to meet anywhere really.
When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!
Game name - Sector "Wysoka" or Ostwall or The Boryszyn Loop (The Boryszyn Loop sounds intriguing and I like it!)
Opening booking date: Bookings open 1st October, game launch as soon as we are in a position to do so.
Game fee: £45
Josh option: Last resort, not sure I can stand a night in the tunnels with him let alone have him in a game! Still, as a means to an end... and he may bring some of his players. Not sure this is a good thing either!
Second site visit: Early November is fine as long as we can draw up provisional game plans in the meantime.
Second site meeting: At Stephen's is fine on way back from visit.
OK, agreed on the Josh thing.
I'm around on October 1st, and that weekend, to deal with bookings.
£45 is fine by me.
The Boryszyn Loop is great!
Stephen
Boryszyn Loop gets my vote as well. Gives it an air of mystery.
When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!
That's the name sorted then!
Yay!
As for game cost:
Pete - £40
David - £45
Stephen - £45
Guy has given me his 'vote' but I feel bound to say that I'm sure he would go for £40 (tempting though it is to stick him down for £45!)
So, that gives the deciding vote to Jay!
£40 if we can get a flat fee of £1200 from Jamie. Forty quid is forty quid, but forty five quid and people are starting to think "that's close to 50 quid for a days gaming!". It's psychological, innit.

Fair enough, £40 it is. Since Jay made the deciding vote it means he underwrites any resultant loss (CiA T&C of Employment - Section 2 Consequential Loss Underwriting, paragraph 8ii Putting your money where your mouth is)
Christ, if we can't get 20 per side, then something's gone wrong in the world of WW2 airsoft.
BTW, how about we offer the PBI people half-price tickets. I don't want to, but £100 is better than nothing at all. Good will's got nothing to do with it, we need money and numbers!
S
PBI people are OUR people.
To use your words, if we can't get 20 a side without giving discounts then something's gone wrong in the world of WW2 airsoft.
How about the date then?
We did discuss the relative merits of Saturday vs Sunday.
My preference is for Sunday. I'd rather spend the Saturday setting up and gaming on Sunday than take a day off work on Friday to set up.
Agreed, I haven't the time to take off....

Well, I figured that if they were going to throw a benny, then an offer of reduced entry might placate them and pocket us some money that we otherwise wouldn't get.
I think if they are coming because its cheaper then that isn't the right reason to come. TBH Yith was the only person to cause agro at Ariel and Gadge doesn't last half a day. If the want to come then great, otherwise no loss - we have run games without them present before!
Fairy nuff.
I prefer sunday, for the reasons already mentioned. Plenty of time for setup, last minute discussions and then the social.
As for Yith & Gadge, it's up to them if they want to cut off their noses to spite their faces. It's their loss. I just hope they don't start shit stirring and trying to put people off because they're afraid of their game being overshadowed.
When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!
Sunday is my choice. Given the sheer size of the site - and that we plan to put a *lot* of signage, comms cable and fuck-off sized banners into the place, its not going to be a quick job.

We've got to work out an effective way attaching the signage to concrete and sandstone too!
