Just thought Id add some more detail here for you all to get excited about.

Gunman Airsoft are proud to announce Operation - "Red Mist", inspired from the events of the Soviet Union’s involvement in the civil war in Afghanistan between 1978 and 1989, and are part of the Gunman Airsoft series of Cold War Filmsim Events.

The movement by the Soviet Union into Afghanistan was viewed by both the United States and Great Britian as a move to take control of the Persian Gulf, neither countires were prepared to let this happen. But besides providing huge sums of cash and stock piles of weapons to the Mujahideen rebels who were trying to cause an uprising and the end of the communist reign in Afghanistan there was very little else that the Coalition could do. Or was there....

Phase 1: Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th July 2008 - Candleston, South Wales
Phase 2: Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th August 2008 - FIBUA Village, Stanford Training Area (STANTA), Thetford - (Cant announce which FIBUA village but it was built specifically to train for the cold war:) )

Great looking site. Can't say it reminds me much of Afganistan but since I'm planning a cold war loadout anyway I may have to see if I'm free that weekend. Is the pricing still the same with the apparent cancellation of the first game?

Ok, cool. Has the 'Islamic update' been done by you or the MoD? The church on the site was noted when you first posted pics of it a while ago as would have been perfect for the eagle has landed. Would be great whatever town/village its meant to be though. 8)

Well guys after being the first airsoft organisation to use the Eastmere training village, you'll be as thrilled as I was to know we have been given the green light to run prity much anything, anywere we like there (lol within reason) There are 9 zones in the 55,000 acre site we can use with plenty of varied features.

Landmarc was very impressed with GMA and our organisation, the MOD were very happy with the clean up and our conduct on site. We will be recieving a letter of recomendation from Landmarc to help secure other MOD sites around the country.

Well done to all that have been involved in this project as it has taken over a year of hard work to secure.

Big thanks to Landmarc for giving us a chance.

The site played like a dream and will def be booked for next years Caen event. lol, the church had heating and eveything!

http://picasaweb.google.com/chris.hay69 ... ionRedMist some piks, a few more on the GMA forum.

Our picy guys couldn't make the weekend so not alot of pics of the action;(
