Erm... if it was the summer then I'd turn up in Jungle Greens and Slouch hat (and I'd be able to get a few others as well)... However I'm not doing that in January! Way too cold!

er... fair enough.... I'm all up for that, but Norway would seem a more sensible theatre for the winter

(and yes I could do a norway loadout... ;) )

I played an open day at S&S on sunday, not in WW2 kit right enough, and it was OK. I was very pissed off at a couple of guys wearing hundreds of quids worth of molle/osprey plastic loopy whatever, and probably the same in weapons, but who wouldn't take hits, absorbing Mine, Tom's and a mate's BBs from about 15m to 3m and shooting the three of us in the head. Kindof defeats the purpose. I suppose I expected more of 'serious' airsofters, especially ones in their late 30s.

Apologies for the overlong but (I think) gramatically correct sentence.

Much the same story for me at nearly *every* open day i've been to in the last three years.

I just dont bother anymore, i'd rather stick to gaming with the guys we have at wwii and nam games, its how airsoft *should* be

With enough Marshals and refs in the game, a firm and thorough rules briefing and intellegent missions and good open day is very achievable, just most sites dont bother with some or any of the above. Real shame!!

I look at open days as a couple of levels on ranbow6 or ghostrecon, fast 50 min missions with high impact and loads of adrenaline. Nothing more that a load of mates trying to complete the level as quick as possible!

sorry this is off topic from the original post!
