ok, last year 3 of us in Dog company helped out on a virgin short film competition entry called the Big Idea, it was written and directed by one of the crew i work with on the harry potter films as a black comedy,,,,it did well but did not win,So,,,,,,,I had a meeting today with Dan Hartly (director) and he wants to do a new entry for this year called the Big Gun, it is due to prep on sat 22nd May and shoot on sunday 23rd May at pinewood studios backlot(where hundreds of our favourite films were made!)
he has again asked dog company to lead the way and hopes to total around 70 troops in kit with weapons, so if any of you are interested, please put a note on here.
I will be putting up some links to dans website for this project .
myself,Aitch Jody T, Helena,Willis and Matt wood from Dog Co (who are all special effects film technicians) will be involved as troops and opperating smoke and pyrotechnic effects.
it is a 2 minute single take shot with a steady cam, so will need some rehearsal and choreography
hope some of you can make this it will be a fun day out and could make it to the big screen!!

No worries guys, thanks for thinking of it. We had a lot of interest at the 1940's weekend show, so hopefully will get enough troops to film with. We will put up a link to the film when it is entered in to the virgin short comp, vote WW2!;-)
