Hi Guys and Girls,
Putting together a list for my Dress A Uniform, I don't know how many else of you have 1.
82nd Airborne 505th PIR, Tech 5th Grade rank
Enlisted mans Dress A Tunic
Combat Infantryman award
Sharpshooter Qualification Badge (Pistol and Carbine bars)
One Service Stripe on the arm
France and Holland Lanyard (Didnt know whether the 82nd had 1 for their participation in the Sicily campaign?)
Tech 5th Grade rank patches
82nd Airborne Patch
Para Cloth Oval 505th
Para wings with 3 combat stars
I'm going to try and get all of the ribbons that have been assigned to the past games I have been to and put that on my Tunic too, I believe they are old British 1s.
Is there anything else I need? I have a Garrison Cap with the Airborne patch on it
Sounds good. I've thought about getting one. But i dunno what i'll use it for! Im not one for blinging up in the evenings.
I've gone down the A2 jacket look for the smart but casual look instead.
Id be interested to see how this turns out though.
Just for the night before the games really, or being in the pub before/after games.
OK, I've been on Evo's list and have identified all of the ribbons that I need to get
Bulge - Naval General Service medal
Arnhem - Military General Service
Churchills - India General Service
Wotan - Turkish Crimea Medal
Hurtgen - China medal
Eagles - Queens Sudan Medal
Varsity - Abyssinia Medal
Haggard - Khandives Medal
Husky - Canada General Services Medal
Pocket - Punjab Medal (was going to put 1 of the brass stars on this ribbon as I organised it)
Mist - *EDIT* *TBD on New medal ribbon*
Lightning - New Zealand Medal
Glocke - Indian Mutiny Medal
Mist - 1939 to 1945 star
Sorry to intrude on your lovely US thread, but i'd be a bit careful about wearing that one.
Dunno who created that badge, but i made damn sure that all mine were unlikely to be ones that anyone living who'd served would be liable to get offended by, i.e they were all from campaigns 100+ years ago.
Agreed DM, all change at platform 3.

Really nice guy, very helpful and has plenty of them all in stock.
Ok they've been ordered, just picked up some medal ribbon bars off ebay too!
Don't think my wallet will! hehe
Steve, you'll be able to pick up something from one of the militaria fairs, sometimes with badges on, for much less that SoF's prices!
Try US ebay even, there has been originals on there for less than repros, sadly the female stuff is soooooooo expensive for the Class A's I'm not quite sure how I will ever justify the cost of buying one

I'm sure you'll find a way
Take it out of the kids' food budget - hunger sharpens the mind y'know.
I got mine and most of the bling from platoon for the same amount as SOF charge for just the Tunic! There are deals to be made!
Maybes next month B & H think I'll have to sneak it in bit by bit, see if Che notices. Mind I won't be paying $300 for just a tunic someones having a giraffe with that one on ebay.
I have, took me ages to complete, and its a pain if i get dirty,i have to take all the badges off for dry cleaners, but its nice to have complete kit.

You have an officers one though dont you e-co, I would imagine the enlisted mans tunic would go in the washing machine ok!
Yes,just be carefull on spin,i have known some stitching to come apart on them, hand wash will be the safest.
