as i need to get some jump boots for oct 15th as i have loaned out all my infantry kit , where would you recommend and what are the sof ones like and is there much in the way between the pricy and very pricy ones ?

I've got the Corcoran boots from SoF, and while they're not bad, I'm not convinced that they're the best there is. The leather seems quite thin in comparison to my modern issue boots, and they've got that bizarre "spit shineable" coating that you'll have to remove before polishing them properly.
I've no experience of them personally, but think that the SM Wholesale boots at WPG, or ATFs Jump Boots may be a better bet.

I don't think I'd buy the Chinese ones if I was planning on using them much, as I've heard too many horror stories.

I brought the Corcorran jump boots from SOF quite a while ago(3 years?), think they were on a special at £100 delivered. I have never cleaned them! And they still hold together, they have been through mud, snow, concrete (not to mention the stuff at Spec Ops!) and its still all in good nick.
If your after a cheapish pair just to see you through, there was another thread on converting mordern day boots to look like jump boots. The final appearance of them was good! I think Rammix might of started that thread.
cheers guys plumped for the damm pricy £120 pair from sof lol
looking forward tot hem as look great
Does anyone know which are better out of the SOF repro jump boots and Epics repro jump boots?
I cannot afford the genuine ones as only have a budget of £100 total.
I've had a pair of SOF repros for over 5 years, they are excellent, I've never had a problem with them other than make sure you polish them after you've used them...but that should be true of any boots or they won't last as long.
Not sure about the Epic ones, but I was very happy with my purchase.
