hi all

im just wondering would an m42 un-reinforced jump suit survive an airsoft game , i play mostly at F&O Anzio camp and that's in and out door. im the one who tends to crawl about and get really muddy going in to small rivers and bushes so i can sneak round and flank the opposing team . when i do this i go through loads of thorns, brambles, nettles etc. and can get my loadout caught on stuff so i was just wondering would it be okay to use this or should i try and get an M42 reinforced one as well

cheers all

I am not the biggest expert but the m42 un-reinforced jump suit as far as I was aware was only used in training for d-day. Possibly used in Africa??

The m42 reinforced ones were for D-day and the M43 for everything after.

I have gone through about 4 pairs of trousers in about 8 years but still have the first two jackets i brought.

The trousers always seem to rip on the inside of the leg, and like your self I am the first one to dive into a holly bush if it keeps me alive!

Lots of companies make em At The Front did do the best quality ones but SOF also do reasonable priced ones.

Hope this helps

Stu

The re enforcements are not going to make any difference. The knees, elbows and pockets are re enforces and the one area which normally goes is the crotch. It's a cotton type material so it will snag. If you want a more durable uniform go for m43 kit. First it was used a lot longer and two it will last longer.
The m42 is good but you need to get a better manufactured one than the cheapo ones found eBay
The retest is as stu says. I've had mine for 5 years and its been through a lot once I fixed the crotch.

they were worn in Sicily.

Yes worn in Sicily, some in Normandy. Not all troops handed in a pair for re enforcing, some were not ready. Either set is correct. The re enforced were more prevelant.

Un-reinforced jump suits were used in Southern France too.
I bought mine from ATF a long time ago (not sure if they still offer that particular model) and they survived many airsoft games so far :good:

By design the M42 trousers only have a single row of stitching at the crotch/arse and people often wear them too low on the hips which puts too much strain on the seam if you do decide to get a bit gymnastic. The answer, is to pull up your braces until you sing like a young Aled Jones!
