I'm curious about this coat.
I've always been intrigued by its elegance and so, I'd like some information about it.
Firstly, was it available to all ranks?
Secondly, can British Officers/ORs steal one for personal use?
A more detailed overview of this garment is desired but not necessary.
Weapons:
King Arms M1928 Thompson Submachine Gun
AGM Sten Mk.II
CYMA M1911 EAP
Mostly worn by lumberjacks I think.

According to ATF it was worn by all sorts:

It was popular with British tank crews, my Grandad (RSM of the 8th Hussars) had one for a while that he "acquired" sometime after Normandy. For those riding in the commanders hatch, it offered good protection from the elements.
When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!
Thank you, Sergeant.
At least now I know if I ever get the chance to become an officer, I could wear that while reading maps.
