Hello, I'm curious as to which nations other than the United States used the SCR-536 "Handie Talkie" radio. Information on which countries and how frequent issue was would be much appreciated.

By late war in Britain, some battalions of the Home Guard were issued with these.

Oooooooo... That sounds interesting, McVickers. Did the regular army ever use any?

I'm "in to" Brit' comms' equipment (albeit, wired comms', rather than wireless) but I've not as of yet heard of them being issued to regular British army. The Home Guard were issued with a lot of american produced kit (BARs, P17s, etc... as it wasn't deemed usable as standard equipment for use in the regular army, ammunition confusion and all that...) and so the Home Guard received a few things from American lend-lease that weren't issued to front line troops.
