I personally prefer CO2 and recommend the KWC 1911, but the power of 400 fps is a bit much. The other CO2 offering is the KJW, which is compatible with TM parts. I would recommend the KJW for you chaps in the UK.

I've been using a WE 1911 for years, never had a single issue. The seals on the mags have been good except for one, it can handle any gas, full metal, easy to get mags and parts and costs less than most other pistols.

The best one ive ever seen / liked is the CO2 KWC.
It packs a punch plus it dosnt have that ugly block under the mag.. :)

I had mine for 3 and a half years now. Still working just fine!

Winters: We're not lost, Private. We're in Normandy.

Winters: We're paratroopers, Lieutenant. We're supposed to be surrounded.

I know this is a odd question but what is the best thing to do to keep your pistol good in wet weather ?

Not much required. There is hardly any steel in 99% of factory made aistoft guns apart from maybe screws and springs.

yeah mine has been out in torrential rain and submerged in a river, as long as the springs are oiled and the screws aren't scratched there's no problem with rust. All my internals get a coat of silicone oil on moving parts or air seal grease for seals and valves.
As my WE is starting to pick up a heavily worn battlefield look I tend to give it a wipe down with gun oil every once in a while. Be aware though that any oiling on exposed parts will attract dirt and debris like a magnet.

Buy a Mauri one

Use green gas which you can get from any where has silicone in it. (98% propane 1% silicone and 1% air freshner)

That is all you need. :good:

I have to agree, if you want a trouble free, reliable, accurate pistol go for the TM especially for a first pistol.

well the WE is about 90% cloned from the TM so its pretty reliable. The metal frame can cool the gas on a cold day though but it also means you can use more powerful gases. keep it clean and oiled and take care of the seals and it'll last you years. :good:

Yes, the KWC is very good, but it shoots 340-400 fps, which is an awful lot for a pistol.

I'd vote for WE as well. I've got 2 now and about 6 mags. Only 1 mag has ever had an issue. They are a bit gas hungry, but if you are confident stripping the mags and wrapping the seals in PTFE tape it transforms the performance. I went from getting about 12 shots to consistently getting 30+ shots per fill. And a bargain at around a hundred quid for the gun and 2 mags. I am lusting after a CO2 one though.

As a point of interest has anyone had any issues with the Co2 mags and the grip section being wider than the standard with regards to fitting in pouches, holsters etc? I know it's not by much but I just realised how snug a fit the standard belt pouches are.
