I'm guessing Thompsons are tricky to get hold of, not that I need another (must resist :slap: ).

I have an ACM one, and have never used a TM one so can't compare. However, the ACM one is perfectly good enough and is much better priced. I think all the ones in the UK at the moment are TM ones and are stupidly over priced. If you could get some ACM ones (if they still exist) you easily get rid of them.

From what I've seen there's little to tell between the two.

I think the finish on the TM is nicer and I think the white writing on the Chinese ones looks awful.

The gearbox on the CYMA version is quite snappy, the TM gearbox has quite a subdued shooting sound from what I can tell.

I've used both, and have the cyma version. For the price differential, i'd go with the cyma every time, i can't fault it.

Jamie, looks like the AGM Sten isn't too far away. You could try and steal a march on the UK retail scene by getting some in and charging a sensible price for them.

If my source is correct, after all the Cyma Thompsons that are on sale are gone, then that's it. The moulds were seized when Cyma was raided a while ago and there are no plans to make replacement moulds.

Do you have any ideas/news on how that relates to the M1928 model that was announced a while ago?

One box of 5 magazines @ about £35 (that's what I paid at Firesupport anyway) see here - http://www.fire-support.co.uk/store/com ... oduct=7804
