Yes but it's not plastic it is wood!

See the site not the video with a crapy plastic version.

Yes, as usual, stripping the 'nice' factory finish and replacing with something more industrial is required. I can't see the point in having a real wood stock that looks like plastic!

The question is what did they look like when they were first made in the 1940,s before time layed its dirty hand on them

Here is the Die Glocke version :slap:

Heh, I don't think they sanded the wood so it was as smooth as a babies bottom nor used acrylic spray finishes!
Nooo, back to basics for me.

Hmmm, The General's earlier comment about it looking like the barrel droops is quite valid, judging from that photo. Hehe, I'm sure you could construct a 'round-the-corner' barrel Nigel but the mirror/prism sight arrangement will be a challenge.
I've never quite understood the concept though 1) how can a bullet travel down a curved barrel without enormous stresses on the barrel or a really sloppy bore and 2) what the hell happens when you are confronted with an enemy in front of you? Your rifle will be pointing at the ceiling yet your trained reflex is to line up the gun with the enemy!

You pull a shabby German trick and point the gun in the air or down and say I surrender and shoot the guy in the head or foot respectively :slap:

Vents in the curved part of the barrel expel gasses and reduce the speed of the bullet allowing them to go round the bend, reducing the velocity but allowing the travel...to be fair if you've resorted to needing to shoot it round corners with a curved barrel the enemy can't be that far away, high velocity not really needed.

Yes its great for firing around a right hand bend but standing on your head for the left-handers is a real pain.

At least with the mirror attatchment it wont be classed as blind firing, not sure what the acuracy wil be like though,
