I have a problem with an AGM M14.
It looks like the bridging piece the trigger pushes between the contacts isn't being pushed far enough in.
Any ideas how to fix it?

I used a bit of copper slip and it works fine now.

I don't think that'll help in my case.
It's like the trigger isn't pushing it in far enough, not that it won't go in.

ive had the trigger break on agm m14 boxes so that it doesent move the pivoting piece that moves the switch, there should be a falk on the trigger that engages on a peg in the pivoting piece and one of the tangs breaks of the falk because its crappy metal .if so theres no way of fixing it i had to make up a new steel trigger.you may not see it clearly if the frame (piece held on with the 4 screws )is in place.

Give me a big enough hammer and a place to stand and I could fix the world.

I've had the frame off.
The fork looks fine.
The thing is basically brand new - only a few mags through it.

It looks like it could do with the contact being moved 1 or 2mm toward the bridging piece.

not sure then ,the only other issue is the cut off lever either brakeing ,bending or stopped in betweenn positions.ive had to fettle the selecta mechanism on agm v7 boxes so it doesent stop the cut off lever halfway so the switch doesent re-set properly,if thats the case it will ocasionally happen and as i remember it needs a little fileing of one of the selecta parts but its been a while and i cant remember but i do remember it only happens on single shot not on auto.

My intention, when I get this going, is to try to make a custom MOSFET unit that won't need the mechanical cutoff lever.

However, that doesn't appear to be the problem. If anything, I feel I need to add material somewhere.
Thinking about it, I have a spare GB here somewhere. I'll see if that's different.
