Not much of a pic, if they are about £120 for alloy and steel I will have one even if just for the tank

Free speech is expensive these days!

Not a chance. i think the projected figure i saw bandied about was £200.

Expensive compared to the MP40 maybe they are using more steel.

FFS, when will they produce a bleeding AEG Garand!?!!?

Honestly, I don't see the pont of a AEG Garand since it only holds eight rounds, it's better off as the gas gun it is, wouldnt mind the M1 Carbine though being electric since it has the look of a AEG with the large mag
I think the point is that the gas garand is VERY unreliable... 8mm... etc...
A nice 6mm AEG garand would be wonderful.
Of course it'll have magazine capacity issues, but we don't care!
a garand would be great..... marushin's is bollocks, many have been for sale second hand, what does that tell you?

Well if converted shotty mags in an M14-converted-to-an-M1 hold 15 shots or you can mod them with the internals from a shotgun shell to give you 30 shots or just mod the magwell to take the shell themselves, what would a decent ACM factory complete with designer come up with? They could easily come up with a 30-40 round internal mag and that would make a sem only M1 a decent skirshable gun. I'd love one!

If the agm sten is cheap enough, I might get one to convert it into a Volkssturm MP 3008. http://www.dreadgazebo.com/gunporn/?p=178

Worst load of rubbish I've heard for a while, sorry but it has to be said. There's a lot of people crying out for an AEG Garand, it's no good as a gas gun, if it rains the 8mm isn't good, if it's cold it isn't good and it STILL only holds 8 rounds per clip same as the AEG, infact the AEG holds more because each of the coverted mags holds between 10 - 12 rounds. It's the same as any WW2 battle rifle, low mag capacity with the exception of a couple.
It is the rifle that is missing from mainstream production, Axis have MP40's, STG's Gas & AEG, K98's Gas and Spring, some MG42's.
Allies have the Tommy, BAR and very few Gas single shot M1 Carbines, what's missing from this is the Garand.
I do take your point about the Carbine AEG but main battle rifle would be nice first...sorry for the abruptness of my post but it was an unfounded comment and just sounded a bit silly...

Spiers, I think you mean Americans, not Allies. The Brits have got Stens coming out of their ears! ![]()

No, what's missing are the M1 Garand and usable K98's and Lee Enfields, the three main weapons of ww2.
The Dboys K98 is a pile of sh*t, and isn't worthy of being anything other than a donor gun for a springer project, and the high cost/limited production of warren's Enfields makes them unviable as a general infantry weapon.
As soon as someone in China realises that and stuffs a VSR clone into k98 and No.4 shells, the better.

Yes apologies, I did mean Americans...but the point is still valid with that amendment.

Yeh, I take your point and agree, it was very late and I couldn't think properly of all the guns available...nevertheless, hope you agree with the originial point.

Hi Fred, can't wait to get my grubby little mitts on one of these.
2 questions - Do you know when they're due over here, and do you know if they'll take the Kings Arms 110 round plastic MP40 mags?

Not sure of the AGM fps but its a much better firer than the VIVA.
Fred, I'm not sure which Viva you've tried, but mine fires superbly... Certainly comparable to every other AEG I have.
However i find it a damn shame that we turn a blind eye to the practice of copying and reproducing someone elses design!
Ironic, considering that the Viva Sten itself uses a rip-off copy of the Marui M14 gearbox to begin with (albeit with a few modifications!)

When we were a Kingdom it was run by a King
When we were an Empire it was run by an Empress
Now we're a country we're run by a..........
re agm copying the viva,
i,l not say i told you so,,, but ok i did lol

Yup, no argument at all that the lack of hop on the viva sten was inexcusable. I said as much in my reviews.
However that was fixed "relatively" easily and now the gun performs as well as any of my others. In fact I'd go as far as to say it sounds rather nice as well.
In haste... Yes the new AGM does use the Kings Arms mags. Not sure exactly when they will be available but definitely later in the year.
"Uncle" Yith.. I can only guess that you have made some sort of improvements ie attention to the HOP. My negative oppinion,of the VIVA Sten, is based on return equals cost. Naturally i can understand why people have bought them. At the time there was almost no alternative. But the price tag simply doesn't reflect the product. Without work the performance would make this Sten almost unusable on a woodland site. The quality of the Sten just doesn't justify the cost!!
Sorry but i am in a hurry to get back off on the road. I will be at the Caen game and will be carrying the new Warren Sten, which i will be happy for people to examine. When i have the time i shall post a detailed reveiw.
I chose to take the time to invest in the Warren Sten because i knew it was going to be hand made by a keen WW11 maker and because i could TALK to the man making it!
Fred, where were you able to handle one, mate? Have you been touring out to China? ![]()
