I am about to make a batch of model 24 stielhandgranates that can be re loaded each time with tlsfx pyros, and I would like to know your thoughts.

They will be around £75-£80 a pair.

Thanks

My thoughts? It is dangerous enough to be throwing pyro around, let alone lumps of wood. I would be applying a rule of under-arm lobbing, much like BFGs.
Secondly, how strong is the head - concern about fragmentation.

Looks cool though, and more realistic looking than the TLSFX stick grenades (which you can at least lob).

Yes would have to be underarm like BFG, so more limited application. Do look good though, are you only going to sell them as pairs or individually?

Pairs and individually. They have been skirmished with good results. There is no danger of fragmentation as the gas from the pyro is vented through the head and down the shaft. I would expect them to be used with a portion of common sense...

Video demo of the grenade, and one reloading too, can be done in 20 seconds... sorry about the audio but I think my camera would almost pass for ww2 era...

Managed to get hold of some better tools, so it means less cost for me and therefore less cost for everyone else.

Grenades will now be £37.50 each plus £2.50 p&p
or
A pair for £70.00 plus £2.50 p&p

I've had a Mk V go off in my hand. The cardboard tube contained the blast easily enough, and channeled it along the axis out the top and bottom. My glove smelled of burnt explosives for a while, but it just felt like I'd slapped someone.
There's also a Mk V launcher I've seen a video demo of where they left it go off in the launcher. Same result - no damage.
