SMG-006 "Available now". :D
Looks like the right receiver, but the Cutts still looks a bit skinny.

Agreed. and the M1 carbine has still got all the post war crap on it.

But yes... I suspect I may end up buying something from that ad sooner or later... hmmm... garand... hmmm mosin... hmmm... carbine... mmmm

Have you noticed, they're all allied guns!

Ares and Zeta Labs seem to have a decent track record of actually getting WW2 guns past the tease/design stages and on to the market quickly. See PPSH, Grease gun and 3 mosin nagants in the last year.

If one company can make a custom gearbox that'll fit in a US M1 carbine stock then I'd put money on Ares doing it.

Having said that, I'd still be happy with an affordable 6mm GBB M1 carbine so long as spare magazines where readily available and it had 50m+ range.

That's why they make them - everyone says they'd like an Enfield, but they'd buy a Garand...

If anyone from Ares is reading i would BUY an Enfield :)

I have a small skewer hidden in the collar of my jumping jacket, and a razorblade in my gaiter, as well as my knife.

Lets hope they'll come up with a better loading system for future bolt action rifles. I just heard that the M1 Garand and Carbine will be Gas Blowback  :x. I am not sure if its true though. If it is I hope they do it right.

Why not an AEG for fecks sake :x

Easy R&D, just buy a Marushin and copy it, I'm not opposed to decent GBB versions but an electric option would be cool, luckily we have ICS to fill that spot for the Garand, ICS's products are superior to Ares IMHO, would be nice if Ares are making the Thompson's GBB otherwise its just producing another electric Thompson that will probably be proprietary and hard to get parts for like other Ares guns.

There is a video of the ARES 1928 Tommy version which had EBB.

Hopefully, they'll also put the correct bolt on the sniper version of the Mosin.

He also said it shot better than his non-restricted Tanaka K98 ;) But I have to check that out myself sometime, before I believe that 8)
