I only spotted this after 2nd Bat picked one up over on the US WW2 airsoft forum. Although it`s in scale with a carbine, it`s got it`s faults cosmetically and performance wise, and has I presume one of the little plastic lpeg gearboxes.
The US chaps can get them for the equivalent of about £38 so not a great deal to risk, as usual over here though the price is rather silly unfortunately.
Howewer 2nd Bat reckons it`s marginally skirmishable on his thread here http://ww2aa.proboards.com/thread/10436/cheap-semi-auto-m1-carbine?page=1&scrollTo=122319
if its a plastic mp7 gearbox you can get the metal ones of RSOV for £27.99 delivered and they are good for 250fps ,low but usable if well set up.

Give me a big enough hammer and a place to stand and I could fix the world.
i'll kill a man in a fair fight or if i think he's going to start a fair fight or over a woman or.......
a problem shared is a problem halved ,but an advantage shared is no advantage at all
if a job's not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well
I have a feeling it`ll be more like one of these below, generally not too bad if left alone but with obvious limitations. A shame it`s so expensive over here as I like cheesy guns, but at £70 it`s just too much.
might be able to swap for one of these
