battery wires

is it possible to shorten them ? I have a stick battery 8.4v 1500, from component shop, but the wire coming from the battery is way to long to fit into my gun :@

is there any safe way of making them shorter ?

im so num when it comes to airsoft batterys etcc :P

Yup, clip the wire to the correct length, remove the contact 'pins' from the plastic block (easiest done with a jewellers screwdriver to collapse the 'wings' holding them in the block.), remove the excess wire from the pins, attach the pins to the newly shortened wire, bend out the 'wings' again and insert back into plastic block.

cheers :D although it does sound quite hard ! i suppose I'll have to get it discharged and then give it a go :D

I always fit new connectors & the component shop leads are always too long, I cut the wires to the desired length & then fit the connectors pins by crimping them with needle nose pliers then soldering them being careful not to let the connectors touch each other then slip the plastic block on, boxes of connectors can be found on eBay quite cheap,
