So, i finally managed to find myself a good PPS Kar98K, with a Tanaka scope and 4 mags included (all barely used as well), so i am quiet happy with what i bought.

However, I was wondering as the gun has adjustable FPS, what is the recommended FPS to go for? and what weight BB/brand is best to go for? I am not an Airsoft sniper so have no experience in this area, yet i know there is allot of debate with these things, so any advice would be much appreciated.

My local site allows up to 500fps so i can take it up to the max if need be.

Thanks.

I use 0.45g Longbow BBs for 500fps sniping and they're good to 275ft for man-size targets (pretty much 10/10 hits). :)

That's 500fps on 0.20g BBs, which is 330fps on 0.45g. I'm using a Tanaka K98 with an adjustable bolt.-- attachment is not available --

Thanks for the info. Nice ZF39 scope as well, i presume you had to screw that in the receiver to get it on?

Yes, plus small angled holes for JB-Weld to grip into. I think it would take a hammer to get them off.

Yeah unfortunately as much as i would love a ZF39, getting one on there is what puts me off as i wouldn't want to do any permanent mods, as well as not having the skill for such a thing. Also not to mention the price of both scope and mount if you can find one. But regardless love the look.

It wasn't cheap, £300 inc shipping, then another £25 customs & parcelfarce theft (on a wangled price, ;) ).
