No, the correct looking scopes will cost
Tanaka do a Scope & mounting for their Kar K98, it sells for about $70 plus P&P, (plus duty & VAT if you're unlucky 
)
The Tanaka mount only fits Tanaka rifles, or at least mostly. It uses a very late pattern mounting rail that most rifles do not have, not to mention the fact that it probably wont fit, like most bayonets
For scope mountings, Brownells is my favourite supplier by far. You want the leupold mount base for a Large Ring Mauser k98, and depending on scope a set of either High or Super High STD rings (theres a lot of furniture and such to clear).
I've used these mounts on a couple of Tanaka k98s and they work like a treat, just be sure to measure twice and cut once, once you drill and tap, theres no turning back.
anny budie know if Marushin Scope Mount Base for Marushin Mauser Kar 98K MAXI 8mm could worck on a tanaka k98 whit some modification? just to fit a better scope on it
