Hey folks !
Bought an M2 carbine on here a while back, looking to convert it into an M1A1 (as close as possible, without proper mags sadly....) . Managed to convert it after a great deal of butchering the folding stock to make the marushin fit, but got there eventually - and she was a beaut ! :D

After firing one evening, the metal cylindrical cover of the bolt snapped in half...and the carbine is now with Warren to source the new part for it ! :(

My question is....what is THE best gas to use ? I got the green gas from Airsoft world, and was wondering whether this was correct or not ? Or am I loading the gas incorrectly ?

All the best,

if its the gas blowback m2 then its 134a only or the bolt will break as it has done.

cursor down the page and its the second mi/m2 bolt (item 7) this is a steel conversion and fits 6-8mm version

with the steel bolt conversion you can safely use green or propane, which is handy as 134a is being phased out of production
