Currently trying to 'rationalise' the gun collection, as my current average attendance of 1 airsoft event per year and having 2 doz rifles seems a little excessive (she says !?

If I get rid of my MP40's, would this be acceptable as a 'counts as' .............. ??

With that barrel and stock, it looks nice and old school, who cares what it looks closest to - it looks 1930s/1940s and that's good enough for me!

I've yet to use it in 'woodland' but in an urban environment it works well; It has a good feel to it and better balance than a Thompson or MP40.
For interested parties, it's a standard after-market wood stock (KM, iirc) and an Asahi Sterling front end (which was originally bought in for an MP28/Lanchester project 
). I'm trying to get hold of a spare set of grips to paint up as wood-effect.
Just didn't want to spoil the 'suspension of disbelief' by turning out with a 'modern' weapon if I do ever get to a CiA bash

The side-mounted mag is only cosmetic (MP40 mag casing) but can/will hold a custom 9.6v AA-celled battery

.......... with the side-mounted mag, yes MP18/28-ish was the idea 
Need to brace the inside of the battery space, where the mod'd Sterling mag well joins the body, to avoid snapping the body if the mag gets a whack, but it will all be bolt-on/off, so can be converted back to 'normal' within a few minutes.

Very cool, I loved my old Uzi, wish I`d never sold it.
Have now moved the side mag-well forward and down slightly so that it's roughly on the centre line with the barrel but more importantly is fixed through the hand guard via 2 offset bolts; if worse case happened and the mag did get snapped off, only the hand guard should be affected, not the main body.
Once I'm happy with the job, I may just sell the package, dependent on interest shown - if anybody wants to register interest and/or PM me re buying it, please do so .....................
