I was just browsing the other forums and noticed this link that appears to show a Thompson with a drum mag, thought some here might be interested.

Erm, yup, that's the one this whole thread is about.

Yup - for the VIVA Sten. No price for the AGM Sten AFAIK yet but £100 cheaper is indicated.

dont you LOVE chinese copyright law

someone makes something, a chinese "busnessman" buys one, strips it , copys it and sells it on carefree

its all good for the customer :good: (they rammed it up tokyo marui`s ringpeice with a cannon rammer) cheap guns for all

but it is bad for people who have a good idea,

if you think up a good invention, DONT BOTHER with a patent, get it to china, make thousands cheep and quick and flood the market ASAP before someone steals it and beats you to it!

Funny that they seem to have used a picture of an actual 1928 rather than the AEG, seeing the difference in the stock and receiver.

Probably because it doesn't exist in AEG form...

It does exist - wanna see a picture of it?
Find CyberGun's 2009-2010 Catalogue (usually found in PDF format) and take a look at page 57. The catalogue has been freely available on the net for well over three months now.

EDIT: Actually, here's a screenshot of the page for you all ('cos I'm a nice kinda guy)...

I'd rather taken Spiers to mean that a 'proper' M1928 didn't exist, the M1A1 with M1928 front end bolted on not really counting. I'd hate for someone to preorder based on that picture and then be sorely disappointed with what they get. I wouldn't go so far as to claim false advertising but as you point out McVickers it's not like pictures of the actual Cybergun aren't out there.

Ah, I see you point. I took Spiers to mean that it isn't in full production yet and no decent photos of a finished article had been provided.

Yup that's what I meant haha! The picture that you put up McVickers doesn't have the cocking handle in the right place does it? Should be on top?

Yeah, they're just being cheapo and using the M1A1 base gun. Sucks, eh? Wish they'd have done it properly...

Based on previous prices plus allowing for any increases the 1928 is going to come in at around £160 - £200

Do you mean the Cybergun M1928? Because the price listed on the picture is £249.99, personally I find £100 price hike from the Cyma M1A1 a bit extreme considering it's just the same M1A1 with a new front end and high cap drum mag.

Yes...unfortunately I forgot to add GREED into my guesstimate - seems they now want £193 for the M1A1 so £250 for the 1928 it is.
Hopefully AGM will bring one out with the proper receiver - if they did I would pay up to £250

We seem to be getting stuck with a £200 minimum price point nowadays...STG44 and now the AGM sten is rumoured to be coming in over £200 - it's getting expensive for those of us on a limited income :(

It was only very briefly a relatively cheap hobby, as far as guns went. Prior to that, it was TM prices or higher for everything.
