why would you want a battery that only lasts 1,000 shots :?

Who fires more than a 1000 rounds in a game anymore? I think I fired sub-150 at Alsos.

quality not quantity.

Would rather have 149 kills with 150 rounds, than fire thousands of BBs are trees all day.

OK, so if we use a pipe analogy:

Assume the normal power flow in an AEG would need a 40mm pipe. Reducing that down to 20mm would be like adding the resistor.
The problem is that the same amount of water is trying to get into the 20mm pipe. The restrictor and smaller pipe must be able to take the pressure. If it can't, it'll burst.

A MOSFET is like a valve that can be opened and closed quickly. By opening and closing rapidly, a small amount of pressure can be released at time.

Can I give you Mister Mayo's number? You explain it much better than he did. Although I bet you can't make 12 years old boys shit themselves when you shout :D

Anyway, Caroline Boulter...sounds like she could teach Karen Carter a thing or two....

still, i would rather have the safety of having over 1,000 shots on a battery.

oh well, obviously we have different game styles.

would like too see you last with 150 rounds for 2 days though mate.

You are quite right Tom, much better to have a battery that will outlast your game rather than risk running out of juice mid-game. That's what low cap mags and ammo restrictions are for - a bit more realism. Whatever next, low-cap batteries?

i'd rather be safer incase i would need to use up more ammo, in a real life situation 150 rounds is more than enough, this is airsoft remember, one shot in real life could be equal up to 50 rounds in airosft,

so i would prefer to have a safer mind and go with a battery that i will know will last all weekend than one that lasts only 1,000 give or take.

Aye, I take comfort in knowing the battery will outlast the event - one less thing to worry about. In fact I usually even have three batteries! (Heh, useful to lend if nothing else - and I've lost count of the number of people who swear blind they fully charged their batteries the night before only to find it dead as a dodo at game-on!)

My 8.4V, 1500mAh ran at least 2000 rounds. I have changed to a 1J spring, though.

Yeah, but it only takes 1 BB to elimate a target, anyone can hose down a target with 50 rounds, hire guns can do that at open days.

Other than in the .30cal at the bloody gulch, I fired less that 300 rounds, as I was using my pistol and M1 carbine.

It's still semi auto though.

I havent fired an AEG on full auto in years! Single shot is much better.

But you'll be able to shoot 30% less BBs than on full auto ;)
Single needs more battery than auto, and is not very healthy for the mechanism. Consider using short "sprays" on full auto, 5BB cca.

Not had any problems with mine (with the exception of an AGM M14) my systema, CA SCAR and MP5 all work well on single fire.

gearboxes are build to fire full auto, you may find that with cheaper AEGs they will probably lock up more if using semi auto, and especially with the AA L85

i do agree with you on the full auto aspect, but your talking gas, which can be more different that electric when it comes to power.
