Hey all,
I know that a few of you on here own Cyma/Cybergun Thompsons and were wondering what spring you'd used to 'down-grade' your weapon to within normal site limits? With an out-of-the-box Cyma M1A1 clocking in at ~360fps with .2g ammo, I'm looking to get around 330fps. Anyone?

I'd recommend the Systema 1J if you want to be sure of getting 300-330fps. Alternatively, a few thousand BBs will soften the current spring down to <330. Mine did anyway!

I bought mine stock from a GMA marshall friend and he's used it quite a bit (the whole of the first D-Day and some open skirmishes) before selling it to me and it's still shooting at 355fps now :(

Lol I wasn't allowed (quite rightly) to use mine at the same event because it was doing 352 fps with the hop full off (it was literally straight out of the box).

Just trim the spring, remove 2 coils

or go the whole hog & fit a systema M100 spring + metal bushings & a bearing spring guide, this should put you in the region of 330 fps, no other parts are needed at this state of tune, you could put in a systema area 1000 polycarbonate piston head too & get rid of the piston weight as well, it may sound a little quieter & the removal of the weight may speed up the cyclic rate too, tip use threadlock on the piston head screw,

i've just fitted an element 6.04 barrel to my Thompson

http://www.rsov.com/product/0/1279/p_El ... 301mm.html

and at this afternoons game its range and accuracy were bloody impressive also on the club chronograph it had gone from 290 on the old barrel back to 330-340 with the new
