another question if anyone can help? how many times to fill the bolt with gas per stripper clip??
Like I said , It can be turned into an effective skirmishable weapon if you have the skills to modify it slightly. Notwithstanding the issue of collecting the shells after usage.
Now if someone were to manufacture cheap disposable/ single use shells , that would be brilliant.

is that the gas version? or is it the same in the spring and gas version?
mine was the spring verson, spring and piston are in the bolt. i think the gas vesion works the same from the bolt air exit point

Yes, The gas bolt will fit the spring gun and vice versa. You gas the bolt itself. Allegedly 400 + fps too.

Just don't do what I do when ordering from china. "I might as well get some hop rubbers, and that new sling, and a speed loader and some shims and a couple of pinion gears, oh look a tune up set is on sale I'll grab that too!" seriously my last order for a scope mount finished off at £75!
No upgrades for the gas version yet.
Order plenty of shells.

On page 2 of this post jimmiroquai states that there is potential for air leakage from both ends of the shell. True but then you also have potential for leakage between loading nozzle and hop rubber on your average aeg too.
I have carried out high pressure testing of my dboys Mauser between bolt nozzle / shell base and shell nose and can find no discernible leakage .The thing that does leak is the hop rubber, that is the seperate hop nubbin forward of what you think is the normal hop rubber but which is in fact just a breech seal . The hop nubbin merely requires a single rap of ptfe tape to cure this. On my example this one fix increased my muzzle velocity by 30/35 fps. That`s a 10% gain folks.
Hope this helps.

thats superb! could you get a pic up so others could see where the tape could go??
I will ,but probably won`t have time till early next week.

Hi Tom and welcome,
The main problem with the Dboys hop is (as you can see from the photos), is that it is different to an aeg hop. I did try using a standard aeg hop rubber slid over the inner barrel so that the `nub` protruded into the hole provided but it did not prove very succesful.
I have tried about 5 variations of hop but by far the best is to use the O.E. hop nub but re-shaped into an `h` type nub. That is to say that the standard `nub` was re shaped with a dremel tool ( very carefully) into an inverted saucer shaped profile. This helps to stabilize the bb to travel down the barrel centrally. Also I did away with the ball bearing and spring hop adjustment and made a flatter device to press the nub down more evenly across its width ( to keep the `h` shape).
My Mauser shoots flat and straight for 40-45 yards before slowly arcing to the ground.
Try it..... you could be amazed. I was.
flatrajectory.
