Well you've got no real hope with the M1 Carbine. They're a LOT smaller than an M1 Garand. It'd end up a far too big. The M14 gearbox is too big. I think Warren is using one of the AEP gearboxes in his.

I think you'd probably be better of selling it and using th money to start an M1 carbine from scratch. A JG scorpion is the best place to start and carbine parts are pretty cheap.
