It was mentioned here: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=12477
and several other reports of it as well.

WW2 Weapons AGM Sten, AGM MP40
looks like the mag goes in the bottom from what i can see in that pic.

Just found this link on Zero in which shows ICS(?) confirming that the Garand will be an AEG.

Armoury: AGM MP40, AGM Sten MkII, K98K/vsr and Maruzen P38.
Basically confirms it as a full metal AEG. Also says there will be a wood version. Like the M14's.
Great about time they woke up on how to do it.

Free speech is expensive these days!

The link doesn't work. It says page not found.
Sorry mate, only just seen this as I've been away for a few days.
Thanks raffles for posting up a working link.

Yeah... I posted a question as to whether the mags would fit in a garand belt... I probably over emphasised how important this is, but facebook doesn't allow you to edit posts... bah!

No problem! As an aside, after looking at the photo above and wondering why it was a white M1 I figure it's a 3d printed or rapid prototype model. This would mean no Marushin copies!
Quote from ICS as regards a date for the M1 garand.
Taken from their facebook page:
approximately in May next year
comment made on 11th October
They could do with putting a picture of at least a prototype on there, and not some (poor at best) 3D model of one.
I'll stick with my Gas one.

Looks good, but 8mm, 8 round mag is a real disappointment.
Real wood and electric though.
5 to 6 months.
Just been looking at pictures of the one which land warrior airsoft just took at the SHOT show in Vegas this week.
Stock is very orange. I think it's good that it's 8mm and electric. Why increase the cap on a gun which had little cap anyway!
They're keeping the mag location thing close to their chest!

ummmmmm... ![]()

8mm is not good webby... no way.
I've commented as such on ICS's facebook page and so have plenty of others.
Anyone who wishes to pester, sorry lobby, ICS can do so here: https://www.facebook.com/ICSairsoftgun
whoa back up, you were complaining of the mag cap not the caliber. when my marushin one cycles it works well, and accurate.

The issue with the reliability comes from the gas system and the blowback. I've had no issues with the performance of any 8mm bb I have fired.
Would you rather it be an 8 round 6mm?

I was complaining about both mag cap and calibre. The two together make this a loser for me. I might be able to put up with one or the other, but not both. And to be honest the 8mm is the big killer as it becomes a hassle to obtain ammo.
ICS will prolly ship their own ammo with it.
If you can reload the mag in the amount of time it takes on the gas rifle, it would be ok, if theres any amount of fiddly rubbish, you're right it would be dire.

8mm reloading is more of a pain too... no speed loaders available so all done by hand.
It's just a really bad decision on ICS's part... and there's quite a few comments saying so on the facebook page too.
Lets hope they see sense!
It's not just personal preferences either - My local site has banned 8mm ammo for some reason.
