Not seen the sten gun battery but the anything bigger than 3x 1500mah Cells will not fit in vertically. Using Lipo's in this probably seems the best way to go. Getting the battery in and out once you have the nack of it is ok. So carrying around a spare 1300mah is fine with me. Just doing some measurements any battery which is 10cm High and 3cm wide should fit. Modifying the wires or conectors could give you slightly more space. (but we are talking mm)

That looks very nice. Would this battery be any good, sizes seem right from what you've said

I think that's the one I mentioned above that's used in the Sten.
From Firesupport's web site, it looks like a bigger, 1300mAH one will go in.

They changed the description after i paid for my gun and they offered me that one over the phone so it should fit as they were testing it. 7.2 1400 Lipo should do fine although dont buy the LIPO from FS from there component shop is so much cheaper!

It looks nice but would like to see one with a bit of custom work on the finish, not saying for you to do it though :good:

I will probably do what I have always done, and let it wear naturally as I can see myself using it alot. Might look a bit more beat up for Dirty Dozen game. :giggle: :good:

Just took the ICS Grease gun today to Xsite the Outpost.
:good: Chroned at 290 FPS out the box with a variance of 1-4 FPS out of 5 shots.
:good: All 4 High Caps tested and worked well. Must be carefull not to over fill though, instead of having a slide on the mag it has a hinged flap which seems a little thin. So if you rammed an extra few rounds in the hinge wouldn't obviosuly close. Winds the opposite direction to Thompson high caps. :slap:
:good: Hop Up worked a treat from my intial adjustments. Easy to get to though mid game if it needs adjusting.
:good: Sling fitted well but only goes on one way round. With the press stud near the stock. This is because the press stud wouldnt quite fit were the dust cover is. Looking at some real steel pictures it should be able to go were the dust cover is.
:good: With the little 7.2 V 1300 battery it worked fine all day. Did 2000 rounds and was still going strong. Didn't get a chance to use it much later as we did single shot games and the grease gun obviously doesnt have a single shot. Although to get round this i may fit my king kong mosfet. Which in therory you can reduce the burst count to 1 (to make it single shot) whilst holding down the trigger for more than 0.5 sec would then enter full auto. Something i may do next time and this may even help with the battery life as the power will be regulated. (Even though i didnt have a problem with mine. )

As wear goes not so much from the initial outing. The dust cover and the cocking leaver seem to be the most marked although they are made of a different material to the main gun itself.

All in all everyone that hasn't got a thompson should get one of these. Everyone who has a thompson should get one of these! :happyclap:
