"What, you started it!"
"We did NOT start it!"

Nice kit, but it reminds me a bit of Leibermuster: too late-war to really fit in with the "we portray the norm" rule for re-enactors (unless you focus specifically on a late-war scenario).

Also, +1 for the Star Wars mods!

i think market garden is about the only justifiable use in ww2 , it could be a look's like sten if you like , at a distance its a mk3 sten .

It's worse than that. It's a Canadian C1, not a British L2A1,2 or 3, so it's not even right for an E-11 blaster.

I only wish you would email them with that comment before it is officially released...... I wonder what 'Oh bugger' is in Chinese...!

Redwolf aren't interested, and too many idiots on their facebook page are falling over themselves to compliment them on doing it.

It would take someone with more influence than me to tell them before they'd take notice.

The stupid thing is that the cast parts used on the L2A3, such as the butt end cap, would be easier for them to produce than the folded metal parts on the C1 (assuming the use of aluminium).
The finger stops are simpler on the L2A3, as are other parts.

Assuming the differences are only component parts, what's to stop some one savvy (mentioning no one in particular.. just the usual suspects) doing an upgrade/mod kit... That way some one over here could make a few bob and sell kits to any one interested around the world.
Just a thought.

Redwolf have decided on false advertising, calling it an L2A3...

It's not that close, Warren. The AGM Sten is far closer to reality.

There are too many differences, some of which would require welded-on parts to be removed and replaced.

Looking at the muzzle cap, it's worse than I thought.

Looks like an L2A3. Fires like an L2A3. It's close enough to an L2A3 for 99% of people to not give a toss.

After all, the Mk2 Sten looks equally nothing like a Mk2 Sten, but people don't bitch quite so much about that...

If you go the star wars route you can pick up resin ones . Some great blaster build threads on the real prop forum .

Looks like an L2A3.

Apart from:
The end cap has pressed/bent stock lock notches, but should be cast.
The magazine is slightly wrong.
The cocking handle should be curved.
The four screws just forward of the mag well shouldn't be there.
The finger stops on the handguard should be curved, not rectangular, and welded on.
The fore sight guard should be welded directly to the handguard, not onto a plate.
The fore sight guard is the wrong shape.
The fore sight is wrong.
There shouldn't be a sling loop on the front.
The nose cap doesn't look quite right.

And those are just the things I can see from the supplied photos..

TBH, Dadio's guns look more like an L2A3.

After all, the Mk2 Sten looks equally nothing like a Mk2 Sten, but people don't bitch quite so much about that...

Maybe because there's not nearly as many significant differences on the Sten.

the main gripe i'd have would be the battery position , i hate seeing a battery and you will through the holes in the barrel shroud ,other than the front sight it's good enough and to be honest about time .those issues would not put me off if i wanted one .
