Yup, I know they're gonna be flogged by the official European dist. with the horrid Cybergun applied markings, but...............it's still more Thompson's on the market!

LOL!
Looking at the photos, they've given up pretending the "M1928" doesn't have an M1A1 receiver. It's still marked as such.

I'm hoping they're clones/Mauri compatable...

so apart from firing at 400 FPS (which most sites wont allow!) Why another thompson?
King arms already make Tommy mags which fit with the TM so i cant see why they would change that with their own model.
Its weird as well its a King Arms made gun but because they want the "real trades" Cybergun has popped up into the mix. BUT on the video under the lovely trades it still says made in Tokyo (who wants that??) and on the other side a massive "NOT A TOY" sticker with all other legal crap under it! Have fun trying to get that off without spoiling your gun!
Rant over
Just depressed that have to sell sell sell atm!
They're making them now, because the Chinese production of CYMA Thompsons has disappeared (perhaps this is where the moulds when after the raids? Sold to Japan?)

I speak to Simon at King Arms quite regularly. KA made in Japan? I don't think so!!!!!!!

Well the trades are actually engraved/cast into the receiver, which is a big change.
WRT the metal: The frame (often called "lower receiver") is missing from the photo of bare metal parts. I think this terminology difference is their get-out WRT saying "full metal receiver" - because it is.
However, it says "Main material - Aluminium, Zinc Alloy, Real Wood" - no mention of plastic. The frame is a rather significant piece, though...
Again, in the pic of the metal parts, they look like TM/Cyma clone parts.
Hi chaps, after seeing these now has anyone brought one yet as there available now on quite a few sites around the $350 mark. With a woodkit as standard it might be the end of the TM Thompson. I am tempted to get one but need a garand and a working carbine first!

If they shoot as good as TM clones do then you might be right Stu.

Does "full metal" actually mean full metal, or is it Cyma's definition of "full metal" (i.e. metal apart from the plastic frame)?
The wood is still plastic though it has that tell tale flaw in the hand grip grain
Free speech is expensive these days!
It has already been stated on websites (the M1A1 at least) will be real wood.

Why do they show us plastic

And they STILL don't make a proper M1928.

I can only think that they had a change of heart during development because airsoft GI did a review and it was Faux Wood, but all websites i have seen say it is real wood. Maybe they wanted to keep it a secret from other company's?
It's sounding as though the lower is metal. Maybe they were smart and made a few thousand spares.
Although looking at some airsoft companies business decisions they've probably went out of the way to make sure theirs won't fit.
