Top cover would have to go and be replaced with the one from the folding stock...it'd probably involve a lot of dremelling to get the gun in properly THEN you'd have to find somewhere to get a repro M1 Carbine barrel from because the barrel on that isn't long enough.

In conc. for the price Gun: £200 + p&p, Stock: £150 + p&p, Barrel extension so that it looks like an M1 Carbine...dunno even where you'd get one! Plus a dremel and a bit of time...

Alternatively while you wait for warren to bring out his M1 Carbine AEG, save up a bit more then fit that in to a Parastock like I'm going to do :good:

I'm planning to use a magpouch on the stock for the battery on my carbine. Its a full stocked version but is easier than drilling out the stock.

Have a word with these guys about the barrel. They made me one from ali for mine to replace the plastic post war type it came fitted with. You just need to fit a real forsight & job done.

Im slotting my Newly aquired M2 carbine into a para stock over the xmas period...Then im using the redundant full stock to fit a AEP scorpion into it.

Apart from the Scorpion, what other parts do you need to make it in to a Carbine?

U'll need to fabricate a front barrel. Cut away the stock inside. Also tinker with the internals for it to fire single shot only, buy making a mosfet. Its do-able. but it will take some skills.

Is the marushin gun GBB? If so, does anyone know if the maxi enforcer mags fit the M2? If so then there's an easy WW2 M1 carbine conversion...

Its not GBB but is semi auto. So im guesing that are just the Standard M1 mags, which would mean there not gonna fit.

Also be a bit wary of it being 8mm. The ammo is costly at the moment and rumours are that it is being phased out.

Lovely gun nonetheless. Marushin certainly make nice gas rifles.

I cant see 8mm being phased out...there's so many guns out there that use it. Yes 8mm is expensive as im finding out..

I really hope I am wrong as some of the nicest rifles out there are 8mm.

Do they perform any differently from 6mm? More of a looping trajectory? Less prone to being blown by the wind?

I found my 8 milli M1 Garand was utterly useless over long range, as people could see the snowball coming and just duck out of the way. The actual trajectory of the round wasnt too bad.

I've not fired my 8mm Carbine yet, so im not sure how it is...but i'll mostly be using it in close range stuff.

Won't it be too powerful for close range stuff?

I dunno...ive not clocked it yet. Ive seen on a few website's it states 325fps on HFC134A gas.

Remember though that 8mm bbs weigh a lot more than 6mm 0.2g bbs so even at 325fps it may be over some sites limits.

Yea 325 fps with a .43g 8mm bb, well over many site limits.

Why's that webb? I just assumed that the 325fps (give or take a bit) limit applied to all airsoft weapons, and not just AEG's.

I can understand that an 8mm BB will possibly do more damaged than a 6mm, so they might not be as forthcoming in letting it be used.
