Okay I just got my CYMA M14 but the hop wheel doesen't seem to want to move. This is my first brand new gun, is that normal?
Is it just stiff?
I'm a bit apprehensive of putting any force onto it as it's not even had a loaded mag in it yet.

Try connecting the battery and fire a shot. Hop wheels tend to not move very well if there's a bb in the chamber. Having not had a Cyma m14 from new I couldn't comment on whether the wheel is stiff to turn to begin with.

Nope, I fired a couple of times but no bb. the hop just won't budge and it'll snap if I try any harder.

Solved it! I was packaging it up to be sent back and I looked into the magwell. There was a light white powdery residue like the type you get from superglue. I figured someone had been a bit overzealous with threadlock in the factory. I popped the trigger guard off and took out the gearbox and barrel to get a better look.
yep! I just had to jiggle it a bit whilst applying some silicone oil till it was clear and now it's as smooth as silk!

Just got to call Action Hobbies tomorrow morning to cancel the uplift.

It gets better! I was logging on to action hobbies' website to get the phone no. to call and it turns out that mine was the last one in stock!
Quite poss the last in the UK as anywhere else I saw them had them on the site but they were out of stock.

hahaha swish! Funnily enough I had the cyma M14 bookmarked on action hobbies for a garand conversion, but I've since got my GBB working fine so its no longer needed! Glad you got it sorted though :)
