Hi guys,
just installing my cyma m14 gearbox in my Vickers, and i noticed when I put in the hop unit the sheath that fits into the gearbox is angles inwards. If i push it flush the hop unit points down from the gearbox, am I missing something or have I a dud hop/gearbox?
cheers in advance

I think thats normal for a M14, its because the gearbox, in order to fit in the M14 is not at a true perpendicular (if thats the correct geometric expression
) to the barrel.
ah, thanks very much! so I'm right in thinking I should fit it flush and it should perform fine? just seems like the air wouldn't be going the right direction ![]()

Obviously the hop with the inner barrel in it will run level with the outer barrel of the vickers , when you slot in the nozzle of the gearbox you will notice that the rear end of the gearbox is angled down somewhat. this is normal arrangement for the M14 and is not detrimental to performance. However if the gearbox or trigger when in this slopping position does not fit the body of your vickers build you may have to consider a differant hop unit to align everything straight. Hope this helps, how about some pics of your build ![]()
I will soon! Just sorting out a few bits, and having to resort housing now the gearbox doesn't need to be straight ![]()
