This is a 1-piece receiver, right, not the "glued-together" one some people got from the far east a while ago?
If so, I should think there'd be some interest here, and a fair bit internationally too.

Aluminium would probably be less problematic WRT shipping and customs.
And M1928s should be blued, not parkerized.

If you find a way to finish aluminium to look blued, let us know. ;)

BTW, as you're in the US, you have access to suppliers of Lyman adjustable sights which we don't because they won't ship internationally.

If you're replicating the old MM kit, I'd have one if the price were right.

When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!

^ That. Certainly the receiver, at the very least.

Seconded. Though you'd need to source a barrel, as the MM receiver has a flat front with a hole in it, not a collar like the TM/Cyma M1A1.
An adaptor could be made for that, though.

I'd have one if they've got trades and the price is right!

The original MM one didn't have any trades on it.

Not so much customs as the weight to ship.

Barrel's aren't a problem for those of us with a lathe. The receivers are the biggest issue.

And WRT the sights, the places that sell them for $60 won't ship internationally.
I'd bet some would be willing to pay the extra for you to get them and send them on.

Any more news on this?
I'm getting close to restarting my M1928 project, and while I have the machinery and material, I'm not relishing the work involved in making a new receiver.

If it can be done fit for export & not too pricey you'd get a few people interested down under.

I'm resurrecting my M1A1 - M1928 conversion, and I'm at the point where I need to commit to the outer barrel mounting design.
