Yes, you may be correct. It is not possible for that many mags to be faulty at once. The rifle itself may ,as you say be the problem. The way blowback guns work is unlike the real steel weapon. In an airsoft gun when you pull the trigger the hammer hits the stricker/firing pin which then hits the gas valve to release gas. Now, unlike a real firearm ,where the firing pin would retract, the airsoft one stays forward pressing on the valve UNTIL the blowback mechanism pushes back on the working parts and re-cocks the weapon. In practice all this happens in a millicecond, but if your blowback piston is sluggish this will cause excessive gas useage similar to what you describe. I think you need to pop out your blowback chamber and strip it down and check the seals and relube. It is not uncommon for the 3 screws holding the gas piston in the blowback unit to fall out and disappear. I f you have the parts diagram you should be ok to do this. If you need help just pm me.
Regards, ftj.

Ugh!! I really want one of these M2's but I hve no idea how to break them down and such and i don't want to mess it up. So basically to recap what everyone has said here is that if i buy one I will possible have to:

1. Fix the Hop up system- either primary or secondary
2. Fix the spring to keep fire selection steady

is there anything I am missing? I know the problems with different gasses. but since I live in Florida it is is normalyl really hot i am not worried about the effects cold have on the gun.

Che,

The main thing with the M2 is to remove the stock ,( easy ,just two screws. one on the front barrel band then slide the upper wooden handguard forwards and off. Then remove one x head screw from barrel lug and lift up and remove barrel and action).
Make sure all screws are tight and refit the stock.
If you have a problem with poor accuracy then you will need to remove the fixed hop near the muzzle. This involves more stripping and should only be attempted if you are confident with the workings. It isn`t too difficult but it does require care on re-assembly of the upper reciever to assure all parts interlock. If in doubt ask someone in the know to do it for you.
Like most airsoft guns, they benifit from some mods. and T.LC..
IT WILL BE WORTH IT IN THE LONG RUN.

Many Thanks.

yes I think I am still going to give it a try, especially since they have released the international version that opperates on hfc 134 and green gas. I havent seen too much as far as reviews go on this new version, only on the first wave of them to come out. Hopefully some of they little problems were fixed by the marushin people. But I will def. take your advice and see what can be done if there are problems. Thanks!
