Hi everybody...

Does everyone here on the UK forums have a Si Version garand? I know they are only sold in the US but maybe i were lucky

Please if anybody has one could you post some pictures of it and tell me about it's performance..? And if marushin has fixed their problems with it?

Thanks in advance...

I have a Garand, but I'm not sure what you mean about 'SI'. Mine is the 8mm blowback, full metal and wood.

It looks good, sounds good and (when tight) shoots good. Unfortunately, every single screw on the bastard thing loosens when you shoot it, eventually causing it to jam. Some parts like the gas tube and the woodwork get very loose, too. Mine is barely holding together at the moment, need to take it apart and do the tightening when I can afford some loctite!

This here is the SI version...

http://www.airsoftextreme.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=74_510&products_id=3382

It's only released from a distributor in the us called Spartan Imports... And it should be able to shoot with green gas... I have'nt found any reviews of it and i would really like to know if it's better than the regular one...

Thanks in advance...

I don't get any replys on the U.s forum...

My regular one was shooting fine on green gas and I was slotting targets from a good distance, just ask Kermit, he was next to me....not one of the targets!

Mine shoots on Green, too. Did you have to alter the seals in any way Steve?

But then there is the bloody part 45... does'nt that get blown to shit when you use it with green gas? Also how difficult is it to maintain the screws?

Is it something any1 could do or do you have to have a degree? :D

Thanks in advance...

Sorry for all the Questions but i'm just a huge garand fan and i have'nt had the guts to buy it because of it's issues...

It's no trouble really. All you need to do is strip it and loctite the screws (I haven't done mine yet, mind). You just need to bear in mind the M1 will require a little more TLC to keep going than the average blatter.

TLC stands for 'Tender, loving care'... He means that the M1 needs more looking after than a std airsoft weapon.
