The Blowback version of that gun is actually the M2 Carbine... has the curved mag with full auto function as well as single. Magazine holds 16 8mm rounds.

Are these guns worth getting? My M1 has - inevitably - developed a fault, and it jams every second shot. I'll probably keep it for show once I fix it, so I'm looking for a rifle to replace it.

Is the carbine reliable?

Yea my 6mil carbine shoots as well as the kar98s, can't vouch for the 8mil 1 as I haven't ever used 1.

You need to take the garand apart and tighten up the blowback chamber and keep it well greased, otherwise it will stick.

A small peice of the bolt carrier has sheared off (if anyone can post an exploded diagram I can point it out) with the result that the bolt doesn't revolve as it returns to locked, and the left locking lug gets stuck against the groove.

Best way I can explain it is that, if you're putting the bolt carrier back into an L85 and the bolt head isn't fully 'out', the runner lug gets stuck against the runner groove. Same effect, the bolt sticks tight. Luckily, I have a replacement bolt, but haven't got round to collecting and replacing it yet.

EDIT: P.S. where could I get a 6mm M1 carbine? I've looked before but had no luck :)
