I've just purchased an ASG M1 carbine (plastic stock). It came with a Co2 mag as per box which appears to fire no problems. However I also purchased a spare mag from Redwolf UK. However when this arrived it turned out to be a green gas mag. Again it appears to work fine but are there any issues I need to be aware of using it with this gun? It certainly fits no problem and appears to fire no problem...

I don't think there will be a problem. I believe that the CO2 guns may have tougher firing pin springs in order to cope with the extra pressure of the CO2 mags and their stringer valves. So they have no problem firing the green gas mags. Problems occur if you have the opposite, as a lighter striking gun won't be able to discharge a CO2 valve.

I may be wrong and would be interested to hear more from anyone else who has these guns.

I would love to know what sort of power output you get from green gas or 144a

Thanks Tin.... On that basis and forgive my complete lack of any understanding of physics, would the green gas mag provide a lower fps than the Co2?

Yes, green gas is at a lower pressure than CO2. As regards that, make sure not to fill it with CO2 as the seals won't last long!

Yes indeedy! Been using WE green gas so all's well! Hopefully it will be well inside the 400fps limits on my airsoft site, and if its lower than 350fps even better, above that and its DMR only....

A few of us have these - mine and Tin's both shoot sub 360fps on C02 so you should definitely be sub 400fps on green. By comparison my PPS k98 on green shoots 400fps on green but with no change bar the mag hits 490fps when I put the C02 version in.
