Rifleman, I don't know of they would be of any use but IMA's website in the US there are a couple of MG34's for sale and the pages for each of them have some brilliantly detailed photo's.

Cheers, will check it out
Progress so far, now completed- rear sight fitted with ball bearing and spring to enable it to flip up and down, dummy rear bipod mounts, barrel bipod catch, spring catch in the butt so it can be removed for transit and ejection side feed tray.
Fantastic work Tony Now if you could make that rear bipod mount functional, it would look great mounted on my Krad!
“I wanted to come to the Volga at a specific location at a specific city. By chance it carries the name of Stalin himself. So don’t think I marched there for this reason – it could carry another name – but because there is a very important goal... this goal I wanted to take – and you know – we are very modest, we have it already."

"Comrades, Red Army men, commanders and political workers, men and women guerrillas! It is on your perseverance, staunchness, fighting skill and readiness to discharge your duty to the country that the defeat of the German-fascist army and the liberation of the Soviet land from the Hitlerite invaders depend! We can and must clear the Soviet land of Hitlerite vermin."

Cheers Neil, it would look ace mounted on your Krad, maybe I might decide to make the rear mounts functional in the future but at the moment I am just planning on having the bipod fitted on the front

Looking fantastic.. How did you make the rear sight.. From scratch, a donor part or a bit of both...
Sorry to ask but I may have a go at one myself.. An MG34 that is.. not just the sight..

Made from scratch, it doesn't work which it doesn't need to being an airsoft gun but it does flip up and down, I fitted inside the gun body a small tube with a spring and ball bearing which pushes against grooves I filed into the bottom of the sight. If you want any info on any bits I have made then I am more than happy to help.
Really really good! Congrats!

Today fitted the cocking handle and finished off withe strips of ali and fitted the barrel buttons.
Fitted the drum mag bracket, I have put the drum mag on from my Zib MG42 to see how it looks. I intend on buying another drum mag and have the feed spring running under the weapon this time, that way I would not have to modify a hop unit to feed from the top like I did with my Zib MG42.
Only things left to do is make the pistol grip and put in the barrel, then its the internals.
(If anyone is wondering what the black thing on the drum mag is, its a bottle top, you unscrew it, pour in your BB's then put the top back on )
Wow.
That is all.
Just gets better...!!!

thats a magnificent looking gun and i recon leaving the hop un modified and fed from below is going to simplify things no end,ive modded 5 hops to feed from the side or top and its the arear that causes the most hassle go get spot on with no loss of power or miss feeding and if your useing feed spring tube it wont be any harder.

Totally agree with you, I saw Neil's (Boshman) MG42 at the Il Giogo game and his spring ran underneath. Thats where I got the idea from, plus I have a spare Madbull hop which I dont want to mess with.
Progress so far- Pistol grip made and section cut out to take the ver 3 gearbox and motor. Pistol grip frame made from ali and steel strips, grips are made from thin ply. Motor fits snuggly into the pistol grip without removing it and is secured by one of the top bolts and a bolt at the bottom. The ply grips will be rubbed with araldite to strengthen them.
Things to do- fit barrel, buy a tight bore barrel, fit it and put on my madbull hop. Buy a drum mag, fit the drum mag with dragunov mag internals so works just like a high cap so no need for motor and batteries (same as my MG42). Fit the feed spring to the mag and gun. Redo the flash hider because I am not happy with it and lastly fit the front bipod catch.
Absolutely top work Tony, well done

Cheers Jimbo, can't wait to to have a duel with it against you and your Maxim . Cant wait to see yours finished.
(Next project planned once MG34 is finished is a M1919 .30 cal with bipod and stock)
