I have a first generation Sten that had the LiPo battery in the receiver. I found the T-Stock kind of uncomfortable to hold. It is the most common stock that was equipped on the MKII Stens but I always liked the Loop stock better, more comfortable to hold and I think it looks better. I did get a commando pistol grip, and that looks good on the gun. After looking for many years I finally found an online seller that has the Loop Stock for a good price ($49). So I immediately snatched one up. Here's a couple of pics with my Sten equipped with the loop stock. I also replaced the Allen head screw with a large flat head screw. Makes it look better. I'm still trying to work out a way to use a spring loaded button on the back of the receiver tube to hold the stock like the way the stock is held on the real steel Sten.
Very nice. Where did you relocate the battery to?

I have one of the first generation of the AGM Stens. The first ones used a small 7.2V 1300mah LiPo battery, you needed to remove the small Philips screw on the end cap on the receiver tube and there was just enough room to slip the battery inside the back of the tube. It's a tight fit but it works pretty good. I haven't seen the newer ones that use the stick battery in the stock but I think you can still do the same thing with them also.
ahh, I'd only ever seen the ones with the battery in the stock tube.
that looks infinitely better to me , just wish i could fit one but my home brew sten has no internal space for a battery .

Give me a big enough hammer and a place to stand and I could fix the world.
i'll kill a man in a fair fight or if i think he's going to start a fair fight or over a woman or.......
a problem shared is a problem halved ,but an advantage shared is no advantage at all
if a job's not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well
How is the attachment of the stock to the body, the AGM stock has a notch that slots into the body behind the motor (slot visible on the last pic). I assume the real deal stock lacks this slot? Does that make the stock more wobbly?
Why do you always carry that umbrella?
-Bad memory. Never could remember the password. Knew no Jerry would carry one. Had to prove I was an Englishman, you see.
A bridge too far

Hi, The real steel has a hook on the stock that fits into a slot on the rear of the trigger housing also. On the real Sten the stock is held on by the hook on the bottom and the end cap on the receiver had a lip that the flange on the stock fit under. The Return spring housing worked like a large spring loaded button that locked the stock in place. Here's a link to a good YouTube vid with a guy test firing a Sten. About 5 min in he strips down the gun which demonstrates how it all goes together much better than I can.

I have a second edition AGM version of the Sten, and although it came with the battery T-stock, it still has the space in the back of the receiver.
I have my battery in there with a skeleton stock. Mine was custom made by someone on these boards a few years ago.
I've got one of those commando pistol grips, but I've not got around to modifying it to fit - the hook is a bit too big for the fitting on the gun.
