Hello all. I've recently bought myself an agm mp40 but I've run into some trouble. At the moment only the metal magazine that came with the gun is feeding properly. Even the other metal magazines I have from my sten aren't feeding, let alone the king arms magazines. I have cut down the mag well but still the same problem.
I originally did the ak hop mod and thought that the problem, so I have put the original mp40 hop unit and barrel back but still having the same problem.
I'm not really sure what else to do, I had intended to use this gun at a Skirmish this Sunday but looks like I may not be able to.
Any help is appreciated.
EDIT: Just ran through the magazines with my sten and they all feed perfectly.
Also when the ak hop was fitted the magazines would feed OK at the start but eventually stopped all together.
DOUBLE EDIT: Semi auto seems to work fine. I've been running a 7.4v lipo so perhaps the RoF is too high and the bb's don't have time to feed into the hop unit. Will re install the ak hop unit and see if semi auto works still as my fps has dropped to about 200.

Ralph
The King arms mp40/sten mags need modification to work. There was a old thread for it on the forum.
Yeah I had found that thread and modified the mag well accordingly but still no luck. Besides, if that was the case surely the mag wouldn't feed on semi auto.
I'm currently installing a sector delay clip in the hopes that it'll fix my problem, if not I'll have to skirmish in semi auto mode.

Ralph
What BB's are you using?

Goldenballs 0.25g. I've installed a sector delay clip and it seems to be feeding OK now. Also sanded down the tappet plate a little as it was a tiny bit stiff when the gearbox is closed. Will check properly in the morning when I can actually see the bb's flying but it's promising.
Hopefully that's all it is and I can look forward to rocking my panzergrenadier kit on Sunday.

Just an addendum to the above. It was as I had suspected and is feeding beautifully now.
