If you by M1928 mean the posing-as-solutions with wrong body and charging handle, then I would see that as less of a crime. At least the M1A1 is a reasonably ok replica.

I can 'hate on' anything I like, as much as I can 'like' whatever I like. That thompson? It's a mess. That's my opinion. I'm not a 'hater' who is 'gunna hate' for the sake of it, (in part because I speak English rather than internet, but mainly because the gun is as stated, a f*cking mess) I express an opinion based on the facts available. You have shown pictures, the pictures show a badly mutilated thompson, and so I hate it.
The work may well be solid, but it is untidy, ugly, and only detracts from the asthetics of the weapon. In short, you may like what you've done, and some others may agree, but I think you'll find most folk will see it as the POS that it is. Do I say this because I'm a 'purist' or 'stitch bitch'? No, it's because it's fugly.
