New style Marushin m1 Carbines in 8mm and 6mm, they have the longer mags though and the bayonet lug front band.
Although they do seem to be a "single shot" only weapon (which is good) and the lack of the finger grips means no cocking between shots. Should hopefully work like a nice big pistol!
$395 = Ok
looks beutifull ,makes me wish i had yank loadout
armoury
m1a1 Thompson,sten mk2,mp40,stg44,sterling,mk2 bren gun,lee Enfield no4 mk1,Mauser Kar98, Walther ppk,smith and Weston m10 and Mauser m712
Give me a big enough hammer and a place to stand and I could fix the world.
i'll kill a man in a fair fight or if i think he's going to start a fair fight or over a woman or.......
a problem shared is a problem halved ,but an advantage shared is no advantage at all
if a job's not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well
I believe these are totally new models as the 6 and 8mm both had the "finger rest" so you could pump each round in like a shotgun. The orignal 6mm had the straight mags too. (as did the 8mm) the details are very sketchy tbh. Copy and paste fails maybe?
noooooooooooo
why not GBB!!!!???
no blow back!!!

Quote from website (my bold and intalics) -
Beautiful replica of the WWII Carbine rifle used by the US Military forces, this gas powered model is made from a high quality real-wood stock, metal barrel and cocking mechanism. Cocking action is light and crisp for quick reloads on every shot. Powerful with good range. Comes with metal finger grip attachment that is user installable. The M1 is a collectible in our store. This model uses 6mm BBs.
I WANT
M1 CARBINE (6MM)
GAS Blowback!
So it would appear to be the original 6mm Carbine. Let's hope Marushin's new range of 6mm guns come soon, and hope they are an improvement over their originals.
It would be nice to get a 6mm blowback Carbine to add to the collection, especially if it could be converted to a paratrooper version.
One of the members on here Guiness did a paratropper conversion and was posted on arnies using the old style carbines. If u get a chance look at it! Very easy to do only involved a small amout of cutting and sanding.
I remember
"In late 1943, was resurrected the original intent to adopt a model of rifle capable of selective fire. He was born, therefore, a further model,
update of 30 shots. "
unfortunately
had never seen a picture with M2 (in the WWII)
Also Carbine M3
was used in Okinawa
"The M3 carbine (a selective-fire M2 with the M1 infrared night sight or sniperscope) was first used in combat by Army units during the invasion of Okinawa. For the first time, U.S. soldiers had a weapon that allowed them to visually detect Japanese infiltrating into American lines at night, even during pitch blackness. A team of two or three soldiers was used to operate the weapon and provide support. At night, the scope would be used to detect Japanese patrols and assault units moving forward. At that point, the operator would fire a burst of automatic fire at the greenish images of enemy soldiers. The M3 with the M1 sight had an effective range of about 70 yards (limited by the visual capabilities of the sight). Fog and rain further reduced the weapon's effective range. It is estimated that fully 30% of Japanese casualties inflicted by rifle and carbine fire during the Okinawan campaign were caused by the M3 carbine and its M1 sniperscope."
Even the bayonet Lug (for M1 carbine)
was used in WWII
Manufactured in August-September 1944
Distributed October-November 1944.
Many used to think they are at war Korea!
it was created
the knife-bayonet M-4 (with wood Grip,plastic Grip in Korea-Vietnam)
Distributed October-November 1944
I like it!
says that the m2 is fully auto and the m1 is semi, another intresting development.
Watch out... the carbine should really be a weapon to use close-up. It is basically a big pistol.
Unfortunately the 8mm needs to be run on 134a to get it down to lower enough power and the 6mm is actually still in sniper rifle power ranges with 134a in it.
I have the old 8mm and though it is a beautiful gun (converted to wartime specs with after market parts) it's not the most skirmishable of weapons.
some more intresting developments
6mm BB and 8mm BB M1 Carbine is said to be blowback and the first shot only is cocked. (could be copy and paste fail) Fire mode Semi Auto (although looking at bolt action rifles they are classed as semi auto.) But the blowback is marked as "yes"
